Our History & Heritage

1954 — The Foundation: A small parish community was established in Cholathadam with a handful of dedicated local families seeking spiritual gathering and mutual faith support in the region. This humble beginning laid the spiritual foundation for our church, serving as a beacon of Christian hope.

1978 — Building the Sanctuary: With collective donations, volunteer work, and persistent prayers, our current beautiful sanctuary was constructed to welcome the steadily growing congregation of Cholathadam. The construction of the church sanctuary brought the community closer together in faith and labor.

2004 — Golden Jubilee: Celebrating 50 years of blessings, growth, and community outreach under the patron guidance of St. Mary. The Golden Jubilee marked a significant milestone of unity, dedication, and steadfast devotion for generations of parishioners.

2026 — Embracing the Future: Today, St. Mary's Church continues to look forward by expanding ministries, launching digital initiatives, and continuing to stand as a beacon of hope, charity, and faith for future generations in the Cholathadam community.
